For the past several summers I have surveyed snowy For the past several summers I have surveyed snowy plovers on the Oregon coast. Snowy plovers are a species at risk. Their delicate nests are on the open sand with occasional debris around them. There was something about these tiny nests and their vulnerability that I decided to draw them. These are tiny precious things found in the sand. #wildlifeartist #coloredpencilartist

I am honored to have my artwork selected for the A I am honored to have my artwork selected for the Artists for Conservation live exhibit at the VanDusen Botanical Garden in Vancouver, BC. Dear Terri, It is a great pleasure to notify you that your artwork titled "Tidal Renewal" has been selected by the jury for inclusion in the Artists for Conservation 2026. It has also been selected for inclusion in the LIVE EXHIBIT. In addition to the live exhibit, your work will also be featured in the Virtual Exhibit and companion book. Congratulations! Results were officially posted online on June 1. This year the AFC Exhibit one of the largest number of submissions (486) in the show's 18-year history. The pine marten is an Oregon conservation strategy species that has been fragmented by habitat loss and historical trapping.
